-There is no citations or refrence for the number of supporters, usually its not possible to have an estimate on no of supporters.

Khalifa Ayil

Can anyone confirm that Omani international Khalifa Ayil joined Al ahly just rescently??????

He didn't join Al-Ahly of Egypt, he plays for Al-Sadd of Qatar. I'm a fan of Al-Ahly and live in Egypt and definitely know what I'm saying. AbdulRahman14 (talk) 10:07, 26 September 2008 (UTC)

Discussion to move Captains/Managers to new articles

I'm not supporting the idea of splitting Ahly managers and Ahly captains into other "Lists". If you guys take a look at most of the big teams pages you will find the same layout as our team here. Why I tagged for copyvio

I found the article in the list of those needing wikifying. Some of the text in the history section is lifted verbatim from the website that I put into the template. I'm not sure if all of it is, or if the bits that aren't are lifted from another website, and the history is quite complex so I'm not sure who added the copied text. Anyway there seem to be several regular editors here, so I hope you can sort it out and continue to improve the article. Itsmejudith (talk) 13:27, 19 February 2009 (UTC)

The text was originally introduced here. There is little doubt that this was copied and pasted, likely from the official site, both because of the telling formatting error and because of search matches to certain strings that are no longer in our article. Excess detail on the kits in the infobox

I have removed the excessive detail (sponsor's logos, etc) on the kits in the infobox for two reasons. Firstly, Template:Football kit states "the template is for showing basic team colours. It is not supposed to be an accurate drawing of the kit." Secondly, including the sponsor's and/or manufacturer's logos is a potential copyright infringement and against Wikipedia practices. I support the changes made by Yamaguchi. Some of the language was ridiculously fluffy. I will also point out that there are several sections of statistical data that are not supported by reliable sources. Al Ahly logo

Al ahly logo on wikipedia must be updated, because the current logo got 4 stars and not 3! The logo on the page of al ahly is no longer official since the end of last season (2017-2018) when al ahly won the egyptian premier league for the 40th time ! And for that they got their 4th star !
