Moved from page..[edit]

Ok, I´m starting to clean up this article...and I basically have to remove everything that is there now, as it violated WP:NOR. However, as I feel it would be a pity if it all was just lost...I´m moving it here, to the talk-page. Huldra (talk) 14:26, 5 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Material inserted into the article, which probably all is WP:OR, and hence has been taken out

al-Muzayri'a (Arabic: المُزيرعة) is a village near Alled in the district of Ramla. It is at an altitude of 100 m above sea level and is about 12 km north of Alled. It is bounded from the east by Marj Obeed (مرج عبيد) or Al-Mudawar (المدور) which end up in Rantees (رنتيس). From the west it is bounded by the rail road track which starts in Alled (اللد) and ends in Ras Elain (راس العين). From the north the village of Majdal assadeq (مجدل الصادق), and from the south Assahoory valley (وادي الساحوري) which separates Al-Muzayri'a from Qoolieh (قوليه).

Al-Muzayri'a was built near the remains of Roman houses, proved by the "church" of prophet yahya (النبي يحيى) which is called Youhanna AL-Ma'madan (يوحنا المعمدان). Al-Muzayri'a was established on a fertile land 10 km to the west of Der Gassaneh. The land was not put to use before Al-Romeh inhibited the land but, with the hard work of the people in Al-Muzayri'a the land became a collection of farm lands and thus was called Al-Muzayri'a, which means a small farm.

Al-Muzayri'a has a strategic location because it is near main roads that connect it with nearby cities and villages. The roads by location are:

South: Road of Al-Mobad or the asfalt road. Extends from Alled city and reaches the villages of Bet Nabala (بيت نباله), Der Tareef (دير طريف), Teret Dandn (طيرة دندن), Qoolieh(قوليه), and finally Al-Muzayri'a

North: A road that reached the villages of Majdal Yaba (مجدل يابا) until Ras-Elain (راس العين).

West: a dirt road that reaches the villages of Rentieh (قرية رنتية), the Al-Abbasieh (العباسيه) and the German settlement.

East: another dirt road that reaches Rantis (رنتيس), Lubban (اللبن), 'Abud (عابود), Deir Ghassaneh (دير غسانه), Beit Rima (بيت ريمه), Annabi Saleh (النبي صالح), and finally Ramallah (رام الله).

The location of Al-Muzayri'a gave it a unique chance to become an important center of education, agriculture and economy.

The new families that took over the land in Al-Muzayri'a lived in the old Roman houses that were already there. These houses were built to enclose an area of land in the middle called Qa' Addar (قاع الدار). Each house is called hoosh (الحوش) or Dar (دار) is named after a family, that is because close relatives lived in the same Dar. In the rooms that surround the hoosh you can find storage compartments called Kawabi (كوابي) made of mud and Tibn. In these people stored animal food and grains. At the front of each dar you can find a special oven to make bread, which is called Taboon (طابون) . Also, at the front there is a yard, called Hakkorah (حكوره), that is used as a garden or a playground for kids. Near each dar you can find the barn which is called Baykeh (بايكه) or Zareebeh (زريبه). Examples of these community structures that come from the heart of Al-Muzayri'a are: Dar Mansoor (دار منصور), Dar Hamad El-Musleh (دار حمد المصلح), Dawood El-Hamad (دار داود الحمد ), Mowanis (مونس), Abed Abu-Shammah (عبد ابوشما), Abed Hamdan (دار ابوحمدان), Abdul Rahman (El-Hurhur) (عبد الرحمن الهرهر), Aadie (عادي), Eddieek (الديك), Ahmad Al-Haj Abed (احمد الحج عبد), AL-Sheik Gaith (الشيخ غيث), Al-Majdoob (المجدوب), Al-Kateeb (الخطيب), Abdullah Alsalameh (عبدالله السلامه), Musalem (مسلم), Hasan (حسن), Othman Hamdan (عثمان حمدان), and many others. There were 186 houses in 1931.

The British consul James Finn mention seeing the temple "M'zeera'a" in "Byeways in Palestine" p.136..and writes that a photo was taken of it by the Palestine explores in 1866. ..there might also be some notes about the village. Huldra (talk) 00:07, 11 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
