A fact from Al-Mirr appeared on Wikipedia's Main Page in the Did you know column on 22 May 2010 (check views). The text of the entry was as follows:
Did you know... that remnants of a mill and dam, originally built in late Roman/early Byzantine period, can still be seen at the place of the depopulated Palestinian village of Al-Mirr?

Yes, I wondered why Petersen didn´t give the same ref; he normally lists all refs from Pringle. It might be that v.d.Velde did not name it, see p.289, Huldra (talk) 23:57, 11 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
The page at that link refers to places far away. I looked through the parts of v.d.v. recounting his journal to Jaffa but didn't notice al-mirr. Zerotalk 00:01, 12 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
The Morris-ref p. 129 (for "fled for the final time one month later") should make that in the mid March. However, the ref, note516, is dated 20 April (and these report were mostly written immediately after events). I wonder therefore if Morris did not get this wrong; either the date in the note, or it should be "two month"? And, in any case; it is clear that not all fled at that time (I´ll add another ref), Huldra (talk) 19:27, 12 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
