Merge Ajapa into this page?[edit]

How is this page related to the page entitled Ajapa? Are these actually the same topic under a different name? Should these pages be merged? Health Researcher (talk) 00:19, 10 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Health Researcher: if this opening sentence presents the matter correctly, then 'ajapa' is not the same as 'ajapajapa': "Ajapa refers to the method discovered and developed to answer questions such as: who am I? and what is the world?" Note the lack of any mention of mantra. Savitr108 (talk) 05:20, 15 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Look at this quote from an Islamic source:[edit]

"Another effect of this repetition is that the word is reflected upon the universal Spirit, and the universal mechanism then begins to repeat it automatically. In other words, what man repeats, God then begins to repeat, until it has become a reality in all planes of existence."

To incorporate: Quote from Swami Ramdas[edit]

"Japa ………. Take the Name of Brahman Himself and using it as a ladder ascend the summit, the supreme Godhead with whom you are eternally one. ……. Fixing the mind on the sound of His Name is the easiest way for concentration ….. By gradual practice, the external repetition will lead to an automatic functioning of the Name in the mind. ….. By the sadhana the restless nature of the mind is curbed."
