Confusing[edit]

"ASBC was activated on 12 September 1997 as part of the Air Education and Training Command.[3] On 8 February 2000 it merged with the Squadron Officer School to form Squadron Officer College.[3] Since its activation, the program has been awarded the Organizational Excellence Award seven times[3] ASBC will close after the final group of lieutenants graduates from the course in the summer of 2011. The course will then merge with Squadron Officer School."

If I read this correctly the ASBC ceased to exist and became part of the Squadron Officer College in 2000. Nonetheless, it's still open so that it can close (under the ASBC name) in 2011 and become part of the Squadron Officer School. If either of these two statements are correct, the article probably ought to be moved/merged as well. And if the first is correct, how can the second happen? ASBC and SOS came together under the Squadron Officer College (SOC). ASBC and SOS were the two courses offered by SOC, it was more of an administrative change than anything. I hope this and my edit to the article make it more understandable. EricSerge (talk) 17:02, 11 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
