Change of name[edit]

The state cabinet approved a change of name for the city of Ahmednagar on 13 March 2024, so it is likely that municipal corporation will change its name to match. But we should continue using the article name as the name in the article. We can only change the article name when there is evidence that the new name has become the commonly-used English language name for Ahmednagar. News articles about the various steps that politicians have taken to change the name are not evidence of what the common name is.-- Toddy1 (talk) 17:10, 14 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
