Agrarian (disambiguation)Agrarian – After disambiguating 200+ links to Agrarian I have come to the firm conclusion that there is no primary topic for this title. About one-third of links, I unlinked, per WP:OVERLINK as an everyday word, e.g., "Old Europe was agrarian and peaceful". About another third I linked to the more specific agrarian society, or similar redirects to it, like agrarian economy, or agrarian community, etc. The other third or so I piped to the current "primary topic", agrarianism. This title should be a disambiguation page, which should be periodically patrolled for new links. There are just as many, perhaps more, articles on Wikipedia using "agrarian" in a sociological context as in a political philosophy context. – Wbm1058 (talk) 01:55, 15 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support The term "agrarian" is in very wide use. -- Google scholar (covering only scholarly books and articles) has 550,000 citations. The word has many meanings and that's why we have a disambiguation page for it. Rjensen (talk) 02:18, 15 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • User:Rjensen, I think you may be misinterpreting the proposal, which is not to get rid of the disambiguation page but rather to host it at the term "Agrarian", since the current redirect, "Agrarianism", is not clearly the primary intended target for readers searching the term.--Yaksar (let's chat) 02:32, 15 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
