Hall of Fame?[edit]

He So Deserves it, the ONLY pitcher to win 100+ games AND steal 100+ bases, he also threw 2 NO-HITTERS!!!!!! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.17.238.142 (talk) 19:54, 1 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

As the writer of this article, I thought it was interesting information to include. I myself may be on the fence about this particular subject, but it was a rare pitcher who successfully pitched before and after the allowance of over-hand pitching, before and after the pitcher's mound was moved back to it's current distance, and was an excellent hitter for a pitcher, even in that era. The two no-hitters are just a nice plus. Chances of it happening are practically zero, the veterans committee has basically spoken for all 19th century ball-players by now, so the likes of Pete Browning, Bob Ferguson, Harry Stovey, and Terry will not be re-considered in my opinion. As the historian of Terry's career I want to thank all the editors of this site. I spent many years researching his life and career and the main "arguementer" for Terry to ge to the Hall of Fame is me. One thing left out in the arguement is the fact that Terry was a clean living player who always kept himself in prime condition while other players, including Hall of Famers wasted their lives away. If I had the time I would edit the rest of this site and add much more. It would be nice if some would take the time to reference my site as the source of much of this material including the images. As the author of this article, I do find him a fascinating 19th century player, but have not found enough information to expand the article up to this point, any assistance you can give to the article is very welcomed. I have now cited your website you linked above, it is quite clear that is where I found the information. As for the pictures you mentioned, that link does not show that I have used any from there, one pic I used is a scan of one of his tobacco cards (public domain), and the other is also a public domain picture (published before 1923). Other than that, the article is indeed lacking, that's why it is a "C" rated article, and hopefully someday will receive it's proper due and get the full expansion.Neonblak (talk) 10:17, 1 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Rating[edit]

Changed rating back to C-class, as it meet the requirements. Article is fully referenced, and apart from brevity of the article, it wouldn't too much work to meet B-class.Neonblak (talk) 21:41, 3 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
