Reorganized tables somewhat[edit]

Hi, I have reorganized the information on the tables in this article a bit.

  • I unlinked the Dutch names, since any articles created would use the most common English-language names per the naming conventions guide. I added NL language tags instead.
  • For the local name, if it was in Indonesian, I added an ID language tag, although most of them are just the modern place names, some have longer sentences etc. I thought of linking to the article for that place instead but most of those are already linked later in the table in the descriptions.
  • For the English names column, I changed the name of it from "Current English name" to "English name" because it seems like a good place to link to eventual articles for all these Residencies. The current place name would mostly already be in the Local names column anyways. I did my best to consistently name the redlinks and used the Dutch spelling because these were the names of historical places / administrative units, even if they have modern Indonesian spellings.

Finally, I notice that this list only contains the Residencies that existed in 1942 (as the intro states). Ideally the other abolished residencies should also be in the full list at some point, right? If that does end up happening perhaps an extra column should be added with the year the Residency/unit came into existence and another for when it ceased to exist. --Dan Carkner (talk) 17:43, 7 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
