Trivia[edit]

I removed the sentence 'In an episode of Mystery Science Theater 3000, Duritz was parodied by Mike Nelson as the most repulsive thing in the known universe, and the only thing that could repel an attacking alien from their spaceship.' It seems like a random piece of trivia to me, since TV personalities are parodied all the time. Perhaps it could be included in a trivia list? Gageldonk 22:20, 14 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

"A Long December" is not on August and Everything After. It is on Recovering the Satellites. The way the article reads now, it seems like it is saying that A Long December is on August And Everything After, especially when the next sentence beings "The album . . ."

NEEDS A PERSONAL LIFE SECTION[edit]

This article could benefit from a personal life section. Is he married, have children, anything really would make this article more credible. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.15.30.125 (talk) 20:04, 30 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, I would like to know who "Elizabeth is!" — Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.237.152.241 (talk) 17:57, 7 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

An 'Early Life' section would be nice, too.[edit]

I always go straight to the Early Life section of a bio. I find it interesting and instructive to read about the backgrounds of accomplished people: where they grew up, their class and ethnicity, what their parents did, what they were up against, what kind of kids they were, whether they got beaten up in high school, etc. It humanizes them. In some cases (when you're reading the biographies of famous poets, for example, you notice this) it's a good reminder that privilege has a lot to do with success; in others (e.g. Ella Fitzgerald) it can be a good reminder that sometimes privilege has nothing to do with it. Anyway, just a thought. 74.96.36.168 (talk) 15:22, 2 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove tags, before[edit]

Dealing with the issues they communicate. The IMDB sourcing issue, the poor and nonstandard formatting of this encyclopedia articles references, and the use of Counting Crows (non-independent) websites and twitter pages are valid referencing/sourcing issues. Please either resolve them, or leave tags in place until someone does. Le Prof 71.239.87.100 (talk) 20:03, 19 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Tags consolidated and simplified. See added reference to personal section (Huff Post, Katz), for what complete encyclopedic references might look like. Templates are also available, but use of templates alone does not address the incompleteness/sloppiness of the citations. While editing, check the URLs. It is likely some will be broken. More sources needed[edit]

There is a bit of unsourced material in the article. I have tagged it accordingly. SunCrow (talk) 08:46, 14 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Emmy Rossum?[edit]

Why is the line about Rossum there? He dated many famous people- what’s the point of including just this one short relationship? What’s it trying to say? 104.14.65.179 (talk) 12:55, 25 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
