21st in the downhill race in the Alpine Combined at the Winter Olympics 2014[edit]

He finished 21st or 27th - there is a little confusion but not for me: His time was the 27th in the downhill race but several racers did announce to do not compete in the second portion (the slalom race); therefore those racers were deleted from the list of result - and Mr. Žampa became the 21st. If he had achieved a medal it had been the first medal for Slovakia in Alpine Skiing in such an important competition like the Winter Olympics (and Slovakia also has no medal in the FIS Alpine Skiing World Championships). - The Alpine ski racers of the other part of former Czechoslovakia, those of the Czech Republic, could achieve five medals by Šárka Strachová, and the bronze medal in the downhill race at the Winter Olympics 1984 which was won by Olga Charvátová maybe counted for the Czechs because she is born in Zlín.
