is there a list which browsers pass the test? or do all? 85.177.143.242 (talk) 13:20, 7 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I think they all do. It's a pretty narrow test. —Remember the dot (talk) 20:07, 7 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Correct. It is also part of a test suite for CSS 1, which is obsolete, which pretyy much means Acid1 is of historical importance only.--itpastorn (talk) 18:27, 8 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

acid test[edit]

Removed irrelevent reference to the California gold rush. Note: the term "Acid Test" refers to any of a number of tests using acid, but specifically to a test for gold. The use of the term as a figurative expression predates the California gold rush, but became wide spread after it: http://www.worldwidewords.org/backissues/wbi080517.txt —Preceding unsigned comment added by 218.214.18.240 (talk) 00:09, 19 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
