Various vandalism and false information

The prime minister position place

In the article "List of heads of government of Ethiopia", the Prime Minister rulership started in 1942, with position of Makonnen Endelkachew. He is the first Prime Minister of Ethiopia. By count (excluding acting Prime Minister) the position reached up to 10th. I also believe that he is the fourth prime minister of Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia that is formed in 1995. Abiy Ahmed was elicited in 2018 he has killed many Oromos in the past 2 years. Oromos is the biggest ethnic group in Ethiopia. There was one story one of Abiy Ahmed soldiers shot and killed a Oromo citizen and left the body the for the nearby animals to eat,just cause was Oromo. And the worst thing Abiy Ahmed did was kill the best musician,the one person who is brave enough to speak out about what Abiy Ahmed is doing. Huchalu Hundessa.It was the middle of the night and he dropped of his sister in law at her home and came back and was shot outside his own home. The woman who planned the assassination with a few other people. A few minutes later the woman who planned the assassination called the ambulance and said "someone" shot him. Later pronounced dead at the hospital. Those two people who i wrote about are just two out of 200. Date of Birth

The consensus is to specify 1976 as the year of birth. There is no consensus on what to specify as the date of birth.

There seems to be an endless series of edits to his date of birth. The, admittedly limited sources I can find all appear to agree on 1976 however

Yes. There are lots of links pointing to 1976, but most of them were written based on the Wiki article. I have credible (yet unpublished) documents citing 1975 as the correct DoB and that he is 42 years old, not 41. Allow me to make the change. Odaw (talk) 09:27, 19 March 2018 (UTC)

There is disagreement over the DoB of the subject. The majority of sources seem to point to 1976, but may themselves be based on the wikipedia article, so there's potentially a feedback loop here. The article's original creator proposes a 1975 date but without reliable source. There was significant edit warring and disruptive editing/vandalism early in this article's history that is potentially the source of the confusion.Heliotom (talk) 10:29, 19 March 2018 (UTC)

  • Probably 1976, but definitely not 1975 based on current sourcing. It's not clear to me, based on what I see in the sources, why Odaw is asserting that they are all themselves based on the Wikipedia article--other than some similarities in content for some. And unless I'm missing something, I don't see enough similarity across those articles (and our own) to establish a presumption that we are the source-point for all of their facts. If Odaw can assert certitude only because they say they have their own primary sources in hand is, that is of course textbook WP:Original research. So even if we were to be convinced that we had a WP:CIRCULAR situation here, we would not use 1975 based on claims about documents alleged to have been procured by one of our editors and we would have to default to providing no exact age or date of birth. Less than ideal for an article on a soon-to-be head of state, of course, but there would be no other solution remaining to us under policy, in those circumstances.   • 1976. Some sources say, that he is 42 years old (maybe a birth date in January 1976?) but nobody questions 1976. I also found an old and independent biography from the time before his rise to power (WP:CIRCULAR not possible in that case) and that source also says 1976. The exact birthday in this old source, however, is not the 15 August but 23 May. So, 1976 seems to be set but the exact date is not. --Metrancya (talk) 08:34, 4 April 2018 (UTC)

I am being bold and moving the article to Abiy Ahmed, as this appears to be the WP:COMMONNAME, as can be evidenced by a broad array of international and Ethiopian sources:

Proposed Grammatical Edit

The middle paragraph of the Political Career section says he mediated "a new alliance between Oromo and the Amhara groups, both making up two-thirds of the 100 million Ethiopian population." Suggested NEW section addition "Postponement of the May 2020 general election"

I suggest the addition of a news section called about the "Postponement of the May 2020 general election". The regular May 2020 election was postponed several times, where the first was to August 2020. This was before COVID-19, then at last it was postponed due to COVID-19. Some references for this:-

@Vice regent: I generally don't prefer to have a criticism or controversy section per wp:CRITS, but I agree that the section -although it's mainly about his political categorization and positions- has a negative tone and could be considered criticism, so maybe we could expand the section to make it more comprehensive? or merge it with another section?
