Strong oppose, All these articles were reverted in June 2020 by the editor who supports the move now without initiating a discussion. Unlike Western royals these people are known with their family names. This issue cannot be discussed just here without informing related editors who created or significantly contributed to the articles.

Another point is that the said consensus was established by just two authors one of whom just uses IP. So in order to start a discussion like that you should use a clear identity. Here again there are the same two editors, just their roles are different. In the first move request the initiator is now supporter and the current initiator was the supporter of the first move request. Maybe they are the same editor. Strong Oppose simply things you didn't know about or you do not have interest with. Or difiniltly you don't have any idea about history of Arabian peninsula!. Suadi royals name in wikipedia are well known, and those pages of Saudi royals written with supported sources and citations. Many Of them are with high post ministers and ambassadors. Note: The main practice for Prince Mohammed bin Salman in recent articles seems to be to refer to him without "Al Saud" although this is by no means uniform. A quick google search shows this.

Results for Mohammed bin Nayef, the former crown prince of KSA show the following

It is notable that results for the two princes don't use the surname, while those for King Salman tend to refer to him as "Al Saud". The Wikipedia article on bin Salman does not use the surname, nor do any of the articles on the Saudi kings.In my opinion, this should be standardized. Looking at articles on other Middle Eastern rulers we have Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum for the Emir of Dubai and Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa for the King of Bahrain, but Abdullah II of Jordan and Haitham bin Tariq, Sultan of Oman. There are many other publications using their family name. But the point here is that Wikipedia covers encyclopedic information which certainly include one's family name. Not only Saudi royals but also others in the Gulf are all mentioned with their family names due to the fact they have very distinct way of naming procedure such as the use of bin or bint. If you look at their own web pages, twitter pages or Instagram pages you may see that they themselves always use the family name, Al Saud, since there are many people with names, for instance, Abdullah bin Faisal or Mohammed bin Abdullah, etc.

Until you and your IP supporter begin to deal with these articles there was a consensus about the article titles among the editors who create or contribute to these articles. You and your supporter do not attempt to expand these articles, but focus on moving them in accordance with your views or just on reverting details or changing categories or using capitals against WP rules. --Egeymi (talk) 20:04, 16 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The examples given above are all rulers. Saudi kings also have been named distinctively. And noone suggests here to change the title of articles on Saudi Kings. In addition, the naming of the Crown Prince cannot be given as a standard for the titles of the articles about other royals.Egeymi (talk) 20:21, 16 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • You have a point, Egeymi (talk · contribs). This makes we wonder whether the article name of Mohammed bin Salman should be changed to Al Saud to match the other Saudi crown princes. We have a standard for names of Western monarchs so perhaps there should be one for the names of Middle Eastern monarchs. But this is a discussion to be had elsewhere.
