Excessive citations[edit]

Hi all, the purpose of the "excessive citations" is to combat the extreme violation of WP:UNDUE that is a section on the book's reception that only uses quotes from a single source when the book has been reviewed by the whole of the internet. I will work on expanding the section when I get some time in the next few days, but am in the middle of another project now. I hope that someone can beat me to the punch and fill out the article a bit using the supplied references, though. Footlessmouse (talk) 08:06, 11 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

This article is a five-fold expansion and is new enough and long enough. The hook facts are cited inline and any of the hooks could be used. The image is in the public domain, the article is neutral, and I detected no copyright issues, as I think the one Earwig highlighted as 96.8% suspicious was copied from Wikipedia. Thanks for the review! Earwig's was a trip, I didn't check it beforehand (disclaimer: I never do, I don't copy and paste except in quotes so I should never have problems). If you click on that link it takes you to a forum that doesn't currently contain any of that info, so I'm not sure what the deal is, I would guess it was copied from an earlier version of the article. Some of the phrases are common enough to be coincidence, like how Stokols published reviews in two papers, I remember writing that but it was just the easiest way to state it. The vast majority of the flagged content predates my work on the article, though. Footlessmouse (talk) 11:38, 19 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

GA?[edit]

Footlessmouse do you plan to take this to GA by any chance? It seems quite thorough in coverage and doesn’t seem too far off meeting the criteria I feel. Perhaps a bit of expansion in the content section, but it’s very well written. ProcrastinatingReader (talk) 09:32, 13 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

On reviews actually, I recall seeing a couple of reviews criticising the ending (killing bin Laden) saying it was quite bland and too undramatic. May be worth mentioning here. On phone so can’t really find links atm. ProcrastinatingReader (talk) 09:34, 13 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@ProcrastinatingReader: Yes, I would very much like to see it promoted to GA after it has had its day on the main page; it is in prep 4 scheduled for 16 January 2020. I plan on working on it after that and am very open to a collaborative effort as well. If you know of a couple off hand that discuss the ending, go ahead and add them, otherwise we will have to make sure to keep an eye out for them when improving to GA. 4th audiobook narrated by US president[edit]
