Australian Leg[edit]

I've just added a section for the Australian Leg, and I'd like it if somebody could inform BEFORE they delete it. --Thatguykalem (talk) 08:22, 11 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Songs[edit]

I keep putting up songs that i am 100% sure were played and they keep getting taken down. (For instance) I was at the the uptown in oakland and they played geek stink breath. I put that song up underneath Insomniac and someone just keeps taking it down. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.200.131.168 (talk) 18:08, 30 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

That's because you aren't a reliable source. All information must be verifiable. Furthermore, a list of songs is not particularly interesting or necessary for the article. Nouse4aname (talk) 10:56, 1 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I would find a set list to be interesting. If you have tickets to a future show, you can get a sense of what to expect. Metfan722 {talk} 1:26, 8 July 2009 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.193.96.91 (talk)
That's fine, it may be interesting to some, but an encyclopedia is not the place for this sort of information. Fansites and forums are the place to post this. Not an encyclopedia. Nouse4aname (talk) 15:14, 8 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Plus, if you follow the band to any extent at all, you will find out that the set list changes almost every night. Sure, some songs are set in stone, but, some are completely random and unexpected. Like in Atlanta, we got Scattered off the nimrod. album. Setlists are popular on fansites, and with it constantly changing with this band, the wiki doesn't need it. Supporting Bands[edit]

A month or so ago (I'm guessing) we had it perfectly laid out for inclusion of the support acts within the chart of dates...does anybody remember how that layout worked? The current way just looks stupid. Dumbell24 (talk) 21:43, 14 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Listing support acts within boxes is incompatible with the sorting function. Besides, I don't think it looked good that way at all. You especially run into complications when support acts begin to vary more and more, an example being the tour dates section in this article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blink-182_Reunion_Tour#Tour_dates. End result is a lot of clutter within boxes. (Freak.scenery (talk) 22:02, 14 October 2009 (UTC))[reply]
Unlike Blink though, Green Day is pretty straightforward about the support bands. It doesn't have variables, such as one band for one or two cities. It's set in stone. Dumbell24 (talk) 22:10, 22 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Whether it's one band or two bands, presenting it in such a way still obstructs the lists of tour dates and is incompatible within sortable boxes. (Freak.scenery (talk) 23:34, 22 October 2009 (UTC))[reply]

Personnel Change[edit]

I have added that Billie Joe handles rhythm guitar duties as well since there are a number of songs where Billie Joe plays rhythm while Jason White handles the lead work (ex. "21 Guns") and other times whem Jason and Billie will split them. For example, Jason will play the first half of the solo on "Know Your Enemy" while Billie will take the second half and kind of run off on a tangent for a few bars. They do the same for "American Idiot" and often, Billie will again run off on a tangent on "Minority". —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.224.208.206 (talk) 21:26, 22 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
