Section removal[edit]

@Shaan Sengupta removed section Caste surveys held in other states from this article, but i am not entirely agree with the removal.

I request fellow Wikipedians, please give you opinion. MaxA-Matrix💬 talk 06:53, 6 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@MaxA-Matrix I removed it because they are not about the survey conducted in Bihar which is the subject here. If someone thinks that people should know about those surveys too, then it can be mentioned in See also section. It for these things only. And if those surveys don't have a Wikipedia article then either it is not notable (which definitely shouldn't be here) or someone (maybe you) should make it. When I added that section, there was always the possibility someone was going to remove it. However, I think this section is an important section that will gain more relevance as caste censuses become more common. I agree with Shaan that it should be in a See also Section - there are other examples of wikipedia articles being structured similarly. Miximon (talk) 03:50, 31 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Data of population[edit]

I don't agree with Max a Matrix over removal of caste groups with less population. All castes should be included. Admantine123 (talk) 17:20, 11 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

In some days, I will add population figures of all caste groups gradually. Admantine123 (talk) 17:28, 11 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I don't think it's a good idea to list 215 communities. MaxA-Matrix💬 talk 18:46, 11 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Many very long articles exist on Wikipedia example Adolf Hitler. There is nothing wrong in including well known communities as in future this will be a handy source to check population of various castes. Admantine123 (talk) 05:02, 13 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
