Contested deletion[edit]

This article should not be speedy deleted as being recently created, having no relevant page history and duplicating an existing English Wikipedia topic, because the person who nominated this has mistaken an article about the World Championships (a one-week event) for an article about the World Cup season. This article deals with the entire season; the other article deals with one event that was not a part of that season (even though they were both won by the same person). It's a fairly egregious error for a Wiki editor to make. There really is nothing else to say; the articles simply do not cover the same topic. --AyaK (talk) 16:36, 6 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I checked the page and found that the result of the finalist was the same with the country and details matched. Owlf 16:57, 6 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Unfortunately, you don't seem to know much about alpine skiing, regarding either the World Cup or the World Championships (which are separate events). For example, the same duality of articles exists with regard to the women's downhill as with regard to the super-G. Here's the first article, covering the World Cup season: 2021 Alpine Skiing World Cup – Women's Downhill. Here's the second article, about the separate World Championships: FIS Alpine World Ski Championships 2021 – Women's downhill. In the Super-G, Gut-Behrami won both the World Cup and the World Championships, which you indicate is what led to this mistake, while in the downhill, Goggia is leading in the World Cup and Suter won the World Championships. But that shouldn't cause such an error. Truthfully, you need to be careful when editing areas with which you are not familiar. --AyaK (talk) 17:15, 6 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I'm just here to make Wikipedia a better place. I don't have any bad intension to hurt you or attack you. I did as the sources and name were matched. Let the administrator decide. You're always welcome contributing to Wikipedia. Owlf 17:29, 6 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
If you're telling me that a supervisor or an administrator told you to make this type of blunder, and you're just following orders, then I'm sorry if I've come across as nasty toward you. But this isn't the kind of error that Wikipedia should be making after so many years. -- AyaK (talk) 19:04, 6 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
As I told you Wikipedia is free to contribute by anyone and the page you created was suspicious as per my view and the details were matched.Owlf (talk) 22:57, 6 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Additionally you've added the "FIS" Webisṭe here too on external links [1] Owlf (talk) 23:10, 6 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

This story has something ridiculous about it How can a person confuse Alpine Ski World Cup and Alpine Ski World Championships? --Kasper2006 (talk) 01:45, 20 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
