Is this an all-out election, halves or thirds? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.205.231.189 (talk) 20:48, 25 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Replacement of Dead Name[edit]

According to the Wikipedia guidelines on how to write about transgender and non-binary people, "the birth names of transgender and non-binary people should only be included in the lead sentence if the people were notable prior to coming out" https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:WikiProject_LGBT_studies/Guidelines#How_to_write_about_transgender_and_non-binary_people

Ynda Jas was not notable prior to coming out. She does not have a Wikipedia article because of this. Wikimedia LGBT+ supports transpeople and their preferred names.

RachelWex, this is being debated at Wikipedia talk:Biographies of living persons#The conflict between deadnaming and ABOUTSELF, versus VERIFIABILTY and previous RfCs. Please discuss there and allow consensus to form. KalHolmann (talk) 01:12, 30 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
