Retirement[edit]

Should we really list retirements? They are not exactly transactions, and are listed under Last Games. 24.8.208.72 (talk) 17:36, 1 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Free agency[edit]

So did we decide to just stop adding the list of free agents? RandySavageFTW (talk) 20:08, 1 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Easy, Rome wasn't build in a day as well.^^ I was just about to add the first portion listed on http://www.nhl.com/ice/page.htm?id=63235. --Soccer-holicI hear voices in my head... 20:18, 1 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Short question about Jonathan Matsumoto – he is listed on the official FA page; however, his rights were with Carolina on June 30 following a Draft Day trade, so he technically was re-signed by the Hurricanes. Should he be listed anyway? --Soccer-holicI hear voices in my head... 20:44, 1 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Free agent re-signings[edit]

We should include players who have become free agents and then chose to re-sign with their same team. This would provide useful information about free agent signings that is currently omitted from the lists. A player should not be included if he re-signs before becoming a free agent, but if he re-signs after becoming a free agent he should be included in the list. Player Releases[edit]

Should we include a list of players released from contract? For example forward J.D. Watt was released from his professional contract with the Calgary Flames yesterday after stating he no longer wants to be with the organization.

Albeit, thats the only example I know of this season, but just a thought.
