Sample color[edit]

I know that a lot of organobromides, including this one, are supposed to be colorless, but the image here is representative of a lot of the bromine compounds I see around, online and in labs. Where, if anywhere, is it useful to state that there is this significant discoloration a lot of the time from impurities? It happens a lot more with halides in my experience. If we could find a source that analyzes or discusses impurities responsible for organic compound discoloration, it could go under a new section in Color of chemicals. If it was specific to discoloration of organobromines, it could go in Organobromine chemistry. Michael7604 (talk) 23:22, 23 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
