Parenthetical text in the article
I've noticed that a lot of parenthetical statements have been added into the article again, i.e., portions of text enclosed within parenthesis. While they add additional information, where possible we should try to avoid using parenthesis and just state the information plainly, or convert it to a reference or note if it's useful. I'm going to start removing them again; if I remove something that an editor feels should be included, please find a way to rephrase it or insert it without the use of parenthesis in the article text. "V" device?
Where is the article title consistency for the change from "V" Device to "V" device? Its been "V" Device for years. The other letter device articles titles have "A Device, "M" Device, "N" Device. Article titles also include: Berlin Airlift Device, Globe Device, Hourglass Device, Marksmanship Device, Wake Island Device. The Code of Federal Regulations has: Title 32-Chapter 5, 578.18 (b) "Letter "V" Device", page 430).
The current DOD Manual 1348.33-V3, December 23, 2016, refers to the "V" device as the "V" Device "(Bronze Star Medal, p. 21- 23, see p. 23, j. Authorized Devices. Refer to the applicable Military Department regulation for specific guidance on wear of authorized devices.
