Qaina (Classical Mandaic: ࡒࡀࡉࡍࡀ) is the ninth month of the Mandaean calendar.^[1] Mandaeans practice light fasting on the first day of Qaina.^[2]

Qaina, which literally means 'reed',^[3]^: 210 is the Mandaic name for the constellation Libra.^[1] It currently corresponds to Mar / Apr in the Gregorian calendar due to a lack of a leap year in the Mandaean calendar.
