Ptelea aptera, the wingless ptelea, is a small flowering shrub native to Baja California Norte, Mexico. It is neighbored by the more northern Ptelea crenulata, the western hoptree. It seemingly has the smallest distribution of the three species. This species is located almost entirely within the Baja area and is predicted to be at risk of extinction.[1]
