Kukhan (Persian: كوخان), also Romanized as Kūkhān,[3] is a village in, and the capital of, Nameh Shir Rural District of Namshir District, Baneh County, Kurdistan province, Iran.[4] The village is populated by Kurds.[5]
At the 2006 National Census, its population was 572 in 104 households.[6] The following census in 2011 counted 777 people in 163 households.[7] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 612 people in 152 households.[2]
