Jay M. Bargeron is a United States Marine Corps major general who has served as the director of strategic planning and policy of the United States Indo-Pacific Command. He most recently served as the commanding general of the 3rd Marine Division from November 8, 2021 to June 30, 2023.[1] He also served as the President of the Marine Corps University from 2019 to 2021, and as the Deputy Director of Plans and Operations of the United States European Command.[2][3][4][5][6]
