Hesar (Persian: حصار), also Romanized as Ḩeşār; also known as Zanjānrūd,[3] is a village in, and the capital of, Chaypareh-ye Pain Rural District of Zanjanrud District of Zanjan County, Zanjan province, Iran.[4]

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 731 in 193 households.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 651 people in 193 households.[6] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 551 people in 179 households.[2]
