På en platt sten i förgrunden avtecknar sig mot en mörk fond en omkullvält kanna i ljust blåaktig saltglasyr, ur vilken tumlar en bukett med tulpaner och rosa och vita rosor; i bakgrunden t.h. syns två meloner.

Attribueringen till Jan Fyt har, enligt auktionsfirman, bekräftats av Fred Meijer vid RKD, Den Haag. Jfr. ett blomsterstilleben i samma stil, signerat "Joannes FY[T]" och daterat 1659, i Cornelis Hoogendijks samling, Den Haag, samt ytterligare ett tillskrivet konstnären som såldes hos Christie's, London, 9 juli 2015, nr. 198
