Wonder Twins is an unproduced American superhero film based on the DC Comics characters the Wonder Twins. It would have been produced by DC Films and Temple Hill Entertainment for the streaming service HBO Max,and was intended to be an installment in the DC Extended Universe (DCEU). The film was being written and directed by Adam Sztykiel, and stars KJ Apa and Isabel May as the title characters.

Sztykiel was hired to write and direct a Wonder Twins film in February 2022, with Apa and May cast in April. Filming was scheduled to begin in mid-2022 in Atlanta.

Wonder Twins was expected to be released on HBO Max.

Production[edit]

After working on the script for the DC Extended Universe film Black Adam (2022) for Warner Bros. Pictures, Adam Sztykiel was hired to write and direct a film adaptation of the DC Comics characters the Wonder Twins specifically for the streaming service HBO Max. Marty Bowen and Wyck Godfrey of Temple Hill Entertainment were producing the project.[2] In May 2022, during the studio's upfront presentation, the CEO and President of Warner Bros. Discovery David Zaslav, announced that the film had been officially canceled, due to the costly production budget.[3]

In April 2022, KJ Apa and Isabel May were cast in the title roles of Zan and Jayna, respectively.[4]

Principal photography was scheduled to begin in mid-2022 in Atlanta.[4]
