Prof Vinay Kumar Srivastava (3 December 1952- 23 December 2020) was the Director of Anthropological Survey of India. He completed his school from Anglo Sanskrit Victoria Jubilee Higher Secondary School at Daryaganj. He did his PhD from University of Cambridge in 1994 under the supervision of Prof Caroline Humphrey. Before joining Anthropological Survey of India he was teaching Anthropology at the University of Delhi and served as the Head of the Department from 2014 to 2017.
