Top Gun 3 is an upcoming American action drama film written by Ehren Kruger. It serves as the sequel to Top Gun: Maverick (2022). It is being developed with plans for Tom Cruise, Miles Teller, and Glen Powell to reprise their roles.

Production[edit]
Development of a third Top Gun film at Paramount Pictures was revealed in January 2024,[1] after beginning development the previous fall.[2] Ehren Kruger was writing the script for the film with plans to have Tom Cruise, Miles Teller, and Glen Powell reprise their roles from Top Gun: Maverick. Joseph Kosinski is set to return to either direct or produce the film, which also has returning producers Jerry Bruckheimer and David Ellison.[3]
