Pepita Group is a family focused e-commerce marketplace founded in 2017 by Jozsef Dorcsinecz and Varga Zoltan, the founders of Szallas.hu.[1] Originally it was a webshop focusing on babies and moms, and then evolved into a marketplace serving the CEE region.[2]

Pepita Group operates in the Central and Eastern European (CEE) region, with a presence in Germany, Hungary, Romania, and Slovakia. The company received seed investment from Portfolion, a member of the OTP Bank, a Hungarian financial services company.[3]

In 2022, Pepita Group had a Gross merchandise volume of €50 million, with more than 1 million orders and 1.5 million Stock keeping units. The company receive 15 million visitors per year. In 2021 GKID ranked Pepita Group as the 14th biggest e-commerce player in Hungary.[4]
