The Minnesota Mallards are a Tier II junior ice hockey team located in Forest Lake, Minnesota, which is just North of the Twin Cities. They will begin play in 2024, playing in the NAHL's Central Division, being the 8th team in that Division. They are owned by Charles Bailey[2], and the team will be coached by Canadian Coach Terry Watt.

History[edit]

The Franchise will begin in 2024 as the Minnesota Mallards, who will play in the Central Division. The team was founded on April 24, 2024, just 13 days after the Watertown Shamrocks(the other new team in the Central Division) were announced as the 33rd team of the NAHL and 7th team in the Central Division. Their colors will be maroon and gold. The Division opponents for the Minnesota Mallards will be the Aberdeen Wings, Austin Bruins, Bismarck Bobcats, Minot Minotauros, North Iowa Bulls, St. Cloud Norsemen, and Watertown Shamrocks.
