Draft:Menagerie Intimates

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

MENAGERIÉ Intimates is an American men's formal nightwear brand headquartered in Los Angeles, California. [1] Menagerié was founded in 2014 and the company is owned and operated by designer Roman Sipe. [2]

History[edit]

MENAGERIÉ Intimates was created by Roman Sipe. All of the lingerie is sourced and sewn in Los Angeles[3][4] and features underwear, nightwear, and swimwear.[5] In an interview with the Huffington Post, Sipe "acknowledges the flamboyant aesthetic of the brand, but strives to preserve masculinity in his efforts to appeal to men of all sexualities," which is notable considering that lingerie has been a historically female dominated market. [6]

Review[edit]

In an article explaining the lingerie, Inside Edition wrote that the line was constituted by "Silk, satin and lace, they're not just for women anymore. Now men are getting in on the action."[7] In July 2016, Menagerié's Men's Lace Boxer Brief was featured on the Lingerie Addict as "Lingerie of the Week."[8]
