Meat the Carvers was originally written and developed in 2009 by Samson Cornette and Daniel Nation. The pilot episode premiered on March of 2024 on the Kings of Horror YouTube channel as an exclusive series[1], and quickly developed a cult following.

Plot[edit]

Meat the Carvers is a dark comedy about a family of murderous supernatural monsters living in suburban New Jersey, who are forced to deal with mundane human problems such as working, managing finances, teenage romance, and common household troubles. All of the characters are inspired by 1980’s horror movies and pop culture. Victor (the father figure) provides for his family by running a local butcher shop and delicatessen, where he often repurposes their victims into delectable deli meats. The show stars well known horror movie actress and cult film icon Felissa Rose (Sleepaway Camp, Victor Crowley) as the mother character Delores Carver, Dave Sheridan (Scary Movie, Victor Crowley, A Haunted House) as Uncle Larry, Frank Dietz (Black Roses, Zombie Nightmare, Rock n’ Roll Nightmare) as Malachi Mysterium, and Samson Cornette (writer, producer, and composer) as Uncle Jack, Damien the vampire son, Victor the father, and Lucius, the family cat.

Characters[edit]

Main characters[edit]

  • Victor Carver Victor is the father figure and patriarch of the Carver family. Very little is known about Victor’s background or origin, other than the fact that he is a talented butcher and was possibly linked to a series of violent murders which took place in rural New Jersey during the 1980’s. Victor is a giant hulking figure who always wears a mask, speaks in grunts or mumbles, and often carries a large meat cleaver.
  • Delores Carver Delores is the mother of the Carver family and comes from a long line of witches and warlocks. She is a master practitioner of the black arts and has a natural telekinetic ability to manipulate fire (which she often uses to burn irritating people alive). Delores considers herself a professional homemaker and spends most of her time cooking meals and cleaning the decrepit Carver family mansion.
  • Jack Carver Jack Carver is Victor’s older brother, who was once a charismatic mafia hitman who died suddenly during a violent altercation with authorities. Due to his dabbling in black magic, Jack’s spirit was trapped inside a wooden ventriloquist dummy for eternity. Jack is a textbook narcissist and sociopath who enjoys binge drinking, gambling, and illegal narcotics. He speaks in a thick New Jersey accent, and is often seen at odds with Victor’s wife, Delores, over the fact that he lives in their house rent free (while refusing to work).
  • Damien Carver Damien is the son of Victor and Delores, cursed to walk the earth as a vampire at birth due to the unholy union of his mother and father. Damien takes great pride in the fact that he doesn’t let his thirst for blood define him and often tries to live the life of a mostly normal teenager. He is close friends with his Uncle Jack, and the pair are often found getting into malevolent hijinks.
  • Eve Carver Eve is the daughter of Victor and Delores who died at an early age yet continues to haunt our world as a vengeful spirit. She is a powerful witch like her mother and can easily pass in-between the world of the living and the world of the undead. Eve thrives on chaos, destruction, and wreaking havoc on unsuspecting humans.
  • Lucius Carver Lucius is a sort of demonic entity trapped inside a feline body. He is Delores’s familiar and follows her everywhere she goes (often begrudgingly). He is a charming nihilist who despises humanity (and dogs).
