Makosi Consulting is a privately owned accounting services company. It provides accounting services to the financial industry. It was founded in 2001 in South Africa by Darren Issacs, University of the Witwatersrand graduate CA (SA).[1][2] Makosi Consulting has its headquarters in New York City, US. It focuses on staffing and project management guidance.[3]

Makosi outsources professionals to organisations around the world without the need for any human to set foot in any physical office.[4] It’s provides an entirely digital environment that allows for talent and companies seeking talent to connect and work without friction. [5]

Makosi employs more than 1,500 accountants in United Kingdom , United States of America , South Africa, Australia and in twelve other countries.[6]

In 2014 Makosi was ranked at 1,401 in Inc. magazine's list of 5000 fastest growing private US companies.[7] In 2015 Makosi was ranked at 38 in Crain's list of New York's 50 fastest growing private company in financial services.[8] In February 2023. [1] it was included in the list of Top Employers in South Africa by the Top Employers Institute for its human resources practices.[9] David Plink, CEO of the Top Employers Institute, wrote in February 2023 that Makosi was changing old traditional human resources practices following the COVID-19 pandemic.[10] In January 2024 Makosi Consulting was a Certified Top Employer for the second year in a row by the Top Employers Institute.[11] The Top Employers Institute is globally renowned for recognizing excellence in people practices with processes that evaluates how policies and conditions are adhered to as well as best practices in the industry
