Kingsman: The Blue Blood is an upcoming action spy comedy film directed by Matthew Vaughn and written by Jane Goldman and Vaughn. Based on the comic book series The Secret Service (later retitled to Kingsman) by Mark Millar and Dave Gibbons, in-turn based on a concept by Millar and Vaughn, the film serves as the fourth installment in the Kingsman film series and a direct sequel to Kingsman: The Golden Circle (2017), starring Colin Firth and Taron Egerton, reprising their roles from previous films.

Development[edit]

In May 2017, Matthew Vaughn stated that a sequel to Kingsman: The Golden Circle is currently in development, adding that he and co-writer Jane Goldman mapped out the plot during production on the second film.[1] Vaughn later stated that his personal choice for the role of the villain is Dwayne Johnson.[2] By June 2018, the filmmaker announced that the third movie would be filmed back-to-back with The King's Man, serving as "the conclusion of the Harry Hart-Eggsy relationship". Colin Firth and Taron Egerton will both reprise their roles from previous films. Vaughn stated production is scheduled to begin some time between late 2019 and early 2020.[3][4][5][6] In September 2020, the film was given the working title of Kingsman: The Blue Blood.[7][8]

Filming[edit]

In December 2021, Vaughn stated that filming would begin in September 2022.[9] In July 2022, Egerton revealed principal photography was set to commence in 2023.[10] In October 2023, Vaughn stated that filming would take place in 2024.[11]

Release[edit]

Kingsman: The Blue Blood was originally set to be theatrically released by 20th Century Studios in 2023 before being postponed.[9]
