James Pittman and J. M. Pittman should link here
James M. Pittman was a state legislator in North Carolina. He represented Halifax County in the North Carolina House of Representatives in 1883 and 1887.[1][2][3] He served as a postmaster at Tillery, North Carolina.[4][5]
He was nominated as an alternate delegate at the June 3, 1882 at the Halifax County Republican Convention.[6]
