The Jøtul hydrothermal field is an active hydrothermal vent field located along Knipovich Ridge. The field covers an area of approximately 1 km north/south by 150-250 meters west/east at approximately 3000 meters depth, discovered and named by MARUM expedition MSM109 in 2022.[1][2]
