Five Nights at Freddy's Plus is a cancelled survival horror video game developed by Phil "Phisnom" Morg. The game was to be a remake of the original 2014 game and was one of multiple projects developed under the Fazbear Fanverse, an initiative started by Five Nights at Freddy's creator Scott Cawthon to fund "official" fan-games. The game was planned to be released on Microsoft Windows via Steam in 2023. Five Nights at Freddy's Plus was officially cancelled on August 4th, 2023.[1]

Development[edit]

A remake of the original Five Nights at Freddy's was first revealed alongside the Fazbear Fanverse Initiative on August 21, 2020. As one of the games in the initiative, the game would've been getting official ports to mobile devices and consoles in the future. The official name of the game was finally revealed on August 28 as Five Nights at Freddy's Plus, alongside a teaser on the official Twitter account.[2] The image teased the new design for Freddy Fazbear, and mirrors key art of the original Five Nights at Freddy's.

Marketing[edit]

Throughout the course of the game's development, several teaser videos and images have been released teasing new character designs and gameplay mechanics, similarly to the original series. Many refer to this game as an alternate reality game.[citation needed]

Cancellation[edit]

Release[edit]

The game was planned to be released in 2023 on Microsoft Windows, with console ports planned at a later date.
