Death Stranding is an upcoming Japanese-American science fiction action film based on the video game of the same name. Hideo Kojima and Alex Lebovici are set to produce.

Development[edit]

In December 2022, Deadline Hollywood announced a film adaptation of the 2019 video game Death Stranding was in active development, with Hideo Kojima and Kojima Productions, the game's creators, producing with Hammerstone Studios' Alex Lebovici.[1] In June 2023, Kojima confirmed he wasn't directing the film, but was heavily involved.[2]

In December, it was announced that Kojima Productions had partnered up with A24 to distribute the film.[3][4]
