David Meuel is an author of multiple film books, more than two dozen short stories, and hundreds of articles on topics ranging from national parks to tech.

Meuel’s first book, Building Strategic Relationships: How to Extend Your Organization’s Reach Through Partnerships, alliances and Joint Ventures as published in 1995 with co-authors, William Bergquist and Juli Betwee.

Two years later, Meuel published his first book of poetry, Islands in the Sky (1997) as an anthology of poems he compiled over several years. He followed this up in 2002 with a second poetry book, Realms of Gold, which centers around poems from the National Parks.

After leaving the tech industry, he began to focus on books on the history of film. Often focusing on the overlap in different genres, Meuel’s film books have discussed a cross section of women in film, westerns silent film and film noir.
