Caught Stealing is an upcoming American crime drama film directed by Darren Aronofsky and starring Austin Butler. It was based on the book of the same name by Charlie Huston.

Premise[edit]

A former baseball player finds himself immersed in criminality in New York in the 1990s.[1]

Production[edit]

An adaptation by David Hayter of the book by Charlie Huston was in development in 2013 with Patrick Wilson set in the lead role.[2][3] A new film adaptation was reported to be in development for Sony Pictures in March 2024, with Huston adapting his own novel, Darren Aronofsky directing, Austin Butler attached to star and Protozoa Pictures producing.[4]

Filming[edit]

Principal photography is scheduled to begin in late 2024, in New York City.[5]
