Avrora Fine Arts Investment Ltd v Christie, Manson & Woods Limited [2012] EWHC 2198 is an English High Court art law case, concerning the liability of Christie's to reimburse the purchaser of a forged painting under their warranty.
The case involved a forged Boris Kustodiev. The claimant was represented by Henry Legge KC (of 5 Stone Buildings).
The case was heard in 2012 by Newey (as he then was). He was later elevated to the Court of Appeal.
