Draft:Abu Nuwas Street

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Abū Nuwās Street is a street on the riverfront of Baghdad, Iraq. It is named after the poet Abu Nuwas.

History[edit]

Abu Nuwas Street was the entertainment centre of Baghdad. From the 1990s to the present the street lost much of its old glamour, as well as its cafes, restaurants, and luxury hotels, due to neglect in funding and maintenance.
