The 2024 Edo State gubernatorial election is scheduled to take place on Saturday 21 September 2024, to elect the governor of Edo State.[1] The incumbent PDP governor, Godwin Obaseki, is ineligible to contest for re-election, having already served two terms as allowed by the constitution of Nigeria.[2]

Primaries[edit]
On the 26th of September 2023, INEC announced the timetable and schedule of activities for the Edo State gubernatorial election. Party primaries were scheduled to hold from 1st - 24th of February 2024.
