Kentuckia[edit]

Some Wikipedians from Kentucky are forming a local context encyclopedia and WikiCity at KENTUCKY.WIKIA.COM. (Kentuckia for short)

These Kentuckypedians invite all Kentuckians to contribute content about their local communities that may be too trivial for Wikipedia Proper. see Wikipedia:Notability

Note that many Kentucky city articles here in the Wikipedia could use some work too. —  Stevie is the man!  Talk | Work 15:20, 15 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This is where Users may post articles about small towns, local schools, rural community history, and other detailed information about Kentucky people and places. For example, a creek might be considered too trivial to justify a Wikipedia article, but if that creek is located somewhere in the Commonwealth it is appropriate for The Kentuckypedia.

WikiProject Kentucky[edit]

All Wikipedians in Kentucky are urged to join or contribute anonymously to the newly-formed Wikipedia:WikiProject Kentucky to improve and polish Wikipedia content about Kentucky.

One of our main objectives is to create and maintain the proposed Portal:Kentucky to add to the growing list of other state and commonwealth Portals related to the United States: Oklahoma, Puerto Rico, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Wisconsin.

We hope you'll join us in this exciting project! CQ 11:35, 15 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
