The above discussion, which related to the wider unsuccessful proposal to merge the categories of "Russian immigrants", "Soviet immigrants" and "Imperial Russian immigrants" to a specific country into a single category of "Russian and Soviet immigrants" to that country, was prompted in part by the fact that many pages were incorrectly categorized among these categories. Accordingly, the various articles currently in this category and the two sister categories, Category:Imperial Russian immigrants to Canada and Category:Soviet immigrants to Canada should be reviewed in order to uncertain whether they have been correctly categorized.
