Suggested term addition to "Photographic techniques" list category. It is a photographic black and white negative film technique used to remove, or diminish; negative effects of minor scratches: "nose grease". The solution is found at the tip of the photo-printer's nose. With thumb and index finger, firmly to forcefully, massage the nose tip; then transfer the accumulated "nose grease" accumulation by likewise rubbing the negative scratch less forcefully. This is more a process of art, than science. The old Navy retired Chief Photographers Mates with the late 1960's Norfolk, Virginian Pilot newspaper taught me this technique. Since prior "documentation" of Wikipedia entries is desired; possibly this term is mentioned in a 1960's-era U.S. Navy Photographers Mate training manual? James A.
