As a child that lived around the corner from Mark Messier's parents, I have fond memmories of jumping on his parents trampoline. The only girl of 4 older brothers, hockey was a big issue in my house. Our all time favorite warped story to tell is how Mark's siter ran my one brother over around the corner from our house. He was fine of course. It is nice to live so close to the Hockey Hall of fame now. When I first visited it 2 years ago, I was disappointed to find out Mark was not inducted yet. A must see for anyone who comes to Toronto! I am proud to say I was born in St. Albert, Alberta, and grew up near a legend. My son who is only 6, lives for hockey. Entering his 2nd year of House Leage, I try to install the true hereo's of the game into him. If I ever have a chance to meet Mark Messier, it will be a dream come true. This is one legend that should be honored by the younger generation. There are only a handful of classy players, and he is one!
